Engineering Academy students and Model Aviation Club members volunteer Oak Park Elementary School Science Night

 North Penn High School Engineering Academy students and students from the Model Aviation Club volunteered at the Oak Park Elementary School Science night on Thursday, March 3, 2016.

The event, sponsored by a grant from the North Penn Educational Foundation, offered visitors opportunities to engage in many different science and engineering activities.  Among the demonstrations offered by Oak Park faculty, students and North Penn High School chemistry and biology students, the engineering academy seniors presented experiments such as thermoelectric generators, littleBits electronics circuits (another Foundation grant), water filtration membranes and Sphero robots.  The Model Aviation Club set up a static display of various aircraft in the gymnasium. Club members gave small flight demonstrations of indoor type airplanes, quadrotors, and help with the flight simulators.
